Carta Etica

“DAVINES IS NOT AIMING TO BE THE BIGGEST COMPANY IN THE WORLD, BUT IT IS AIMING TO BE THE MOST BEAUTIFUL AND ETHICAL, THANKS TO EVERYONE’S COMMITMENT.”

Davines' beauty concept

Davide Bollati - Davines’ chairman - 2006

The Carta Etica - loosely translated as Code of Conduct or Ethical Chart - was inspired in part by a concept of beauty that draws on an ancient philosophy that unmistakably likens “beautiful” with “good”. Working with a philosophical counselor over months, Davines employees came up with a collection of professional values concerning behavior and ethics at work and how small gestures in everyday life can improve the work environment. It’s essentially a tool that helps to describe how work is conceived and perceived at Davines.

But unlike a strict code, it doesn’t contain rules or instructions.

We work daily to make sure this assemblage of common values is “echoed” in the quality of Davines products and services. And we hope this echo permeates the lives of our partners and customers, however so subtly, wherever in the world they may be experiencing Davines. With this in mind, the Carta Etica has become fundamental to our vision of beauty.
