Davide Bollati (born 12 March 1966) is an Italian entrepreneur, best known as chairman of the Davines family group companies, Davines and [comfort zone].
After a degree in Pharmacy from Parma University, Davide moved to the US to complete a Master’s Degree in Cosmetic Science at Farleigh Dickinson University. He also graduated in March 2008 from Harvard Business School where he enriched his educational background with the Owner/President Management Executive Program. In 1992, he joined the family group after gathering some experience in other beauty companies.
Davide Bollati began his successful career in the group he leads today as product development chemist in the R&D lab. He then joined the marketing team as product manager before developing sales in the domestic market first and international market later. All this lead D. Bollati to become General Manager and now Chairman.
He describes himself as a passionate dreamer with his feet firmly on the ground.
His main inspiring factor in the business is the passion he has for sustainable beauty, a combination of technology and respect for the environment that is becoming the new mantra for the Davines Group. For him, beauty is the divine inside us. Ancient Greeks linked beauty to the good. Form and content, ethics and aesthetics, it's all related. The ingredients in the formulas, the sophistication of the packaging, the poetry behind the rituals, it is all about beauty.
One of the main projects in progress right now is the new manufacturing facility in Italy, a manifesto of sustainable beauty.
Davide Bollati and his family are very keen in building “green” facilities; they want it to be a legacy to the world. This will be a natural next step to their involvement in sustainability since the current factory already only uses renewable energy ; they invest in CO2 emission recompensation ; and have more than 20 sustainable beauty ongoing projects as part of the company daily activities.
Beauty, architecture, innovation and sustainability are the key ideas that drive his work.
This year Davines celebrates the twentieth anniversary of Davide's presence in the company.
CURIOSITY: When created in 1983 by the Bollati's family the company name "Davines" was conceived from the combination of the names Davide and Stefania children of the owners and founders.

Let me tell you something about myself
One of my youthful passions was advertising; I started in the beauty industry because the only company close to my hometown where I could learn marketing was operating in this field. In that company I learned the ins and outs of marketing, dealing with product development both at the national and international level.
Over the years I’ve learned what it means to live in a company, and to deal with the community of people that it represents. I’ve learned that in a company people are everything, and consequentially that everything has to do with people. I have this idea clearly in mind when thinking of our clients as well as of those who work with me. This has instilled in me a deep sense of responsibility for what I do.
I also developed a great interest in the development of innovative projects, especially regarding client services and organizational changes. I experience the same interest when sharing with both clients and colleagues everything I learn. Aside from marketing, I can say it has turned into one of my specialties over time.
Speaking about gratification, the biggest pleasure I have is represented by those clients who come to me saying that our company got them inspired and allowed them to live with more satisfaction. On the opposite side, nothing is more frustrating than disappointing a client, for any reasons this might occur. I do anything to avoid it.
I love sport, which I find a great metaphor for life.
I think that working is a superb way to spend one’s time.
