MORE THAN 100 PROJECTS FOR I SUSTAIN BEAUTY!
Two joint winners and two special mentions: these are the 2016 projects that made the world a more beautiful place!
The second edition of our I Sustain Beauty campaign doubled its numbers, collecting 114 projects from 22 countries. The common goal? To do something good for the world through projects and actions of beauty.
I Sustain Beauty: it is a call that Davines and Comfort Zone address to their international community, to their salons and beauty centers, inspiring them to generate projects in the social arena, the arts and the environment with the goal to make the world a more beautiful place through small and bigger acts that positively impact society.
This is how we encourage beauty professionals to share with us the stories of how it is possible, through their initiatives, to generate beauty and good through their professions, and even beyond them.
Mondays at Racine, United States
Fiumi d'Acqua Viva, Italy
The Well Being Salon, United States
The first edition counted 56 projects from 21 countries, and this second edition ended doubling that number with 114 projects from 22 countries: Poland, United States, New Zealand, Italy and more.
The projects were selected and evaluated by a special jury , which this year proclaimed two co-winners, awarded 10.000 Euro in materials and tools consistent with the project presented:
Mondays at Racine a United States’ project from Racine salon, which has always been on the front line in supporting cancer patients and providing assistance through cosmetic and aesthetic therapies.
Fiumi D’acqua Viva Onlus, a nonprofit organization founded by the Italian company Ewa Beauty Spa, from Lamezia Terme, that is helping young people to resolve issues related to integration, bullying and anorexia through a youth club created inside the spa’s garden!
Two other projects were considered worth a special mention award, thanks to their ability to inspire and generate a virtuous circle of word of mouth:
Redverdece, Mexican project from Juan Corte Belleza Sustentable salon, for their research of an innovative environmental technique which uses cut hair to grow green areas.
The Well Being Salon, a United States’ project that involved building a salon inside one of the Ronald McDonald Houses, which for years have been proactive in providing accommodations for sick children who have to spend a long time in the hospital away from their own homes.
Through I Sustain Beauty Davines wants to show how beauty can be used to make the world a better place. Our campaign will start again in 2017; follow it on www.isustainbeauty.com and share your project with us!
